Positive “Peace” of Mind

Part of mallyk.net is promoting a positive lifestyle and how to choose happiness at all times. Life is honestly what you make it and part of my main purpose through this website and even through my brand is wanting people to feel good inside and out. I would say that feeling good is a journey for us all, there is no handbook on life’s tough situations or how to handle the curve balls life can throw at you but the main thing I have learned through everyone and everything I have encountered in my life is how to have peace of mind.

I would say finding peace of mind is almost like an enlightening sense that just kind of washes over you with time. Letting go of the past, not holding grudges and just letting things be if you will can help you reach peace within. It is really hard this day and age not to constantly compare ourselves or pick ourselves apart, and if there is one thing I cannot stress enough is that YOU, you alone are ENOUGH. Everyone is special and unique in their own right and if we all took a moment to just help build each other up I am telling you the world would be such a light place. But here is the beauty in all of this, you can be the start of it. You can help those around you help feel the light.

It took me a long time to feel the “light”…maybe its my old age (30) hehe that has gotten me to this frame of mind. But I truly wish I could give it to everyone. There is calming sensation that happens to your mind and heart when you realize that everything will take its course and that if you are a spiritual person like I am God truly has a plan and it will all work out if you have faith. I have worked with people through times of my own grief and negativity and I honestly highly suggest even a life coach when you, yourself cannot navigate through your own thoughts clearly. Self help and self love is the best thing you can do for yourself. When you love yourself it is so much easier to love and help others. Take care of yourself and be kind to yourself!

Peace of mind comes when you accept yourself for who you are! Its loving every weird quirk you have, the snort when you laugh, the silly things you say. Its going after your goals, dreams and passions and being relentless about what “set your soul on fire”. Do not listen to the negative people out there. Do not listen when people put you down or tell you you can’t do something. Yes you can. You want to lose weight? You can! You want to launch your own business? You can! You literally can do anything you want when you start to turn your thoughts of can’t into can.

I promise you once you make positive thinking and self affirmations part of your routine and knowing that you are a truly special human being on this earth worthy of everything, there will start to be a shift in your mind. You will feel genuinely happy deep within. You will find it easier to just be you and do what you want and help others feel wonderful too!

Some positive rules I live by:

  1. Read self help, positivity books…I am telling you these books light a fire within and make you want to get out there and be the best you possible.
  2. Work out and eat right…a healthy body fuels a healthy mind.
  3. Surround yourself with happy positive people who will be there for you through the ups and the downs.
  4. Talk positively about your future and what you see.
  5. Make a gratitude journal about everything you are thankful for each day or each week so that you start to see everything you DO have.
  6. Get a life coach if you feel like you need some extra guidance.
  7. Tell other people things you like about them and support the amazing people in your life. I am telling you life is too short not to just be on the Upside!

I truly hope this post helps you reflect and learn some new ways on how to reach that peace of mind and calm sense within. I also hope that it helps you feel motivated to think and feel positively about this life we are given. Each day is a blessing. Make it count!
