Hey loves! I am so excited to share some of my favorite family Halloween costume ideas with you.
I have always loved Halloween and the fun of getting dressed up for it. I especially love getting dressed up together as a family and the memories it creates.
I am always searching for family costume ideas and thought it would be fun to share ours over the last four years. At the end of the blog I will share some other ideas I think would be a blast to do as well.
For our first Halloween Family Costume we thought it would be fun to do Super Heros and it will always be one of my favorites.
Whenever I get a costume idea in mind I search our closets first to see what we might already have. Luckily that year Robby had a batman t-shirt in his closet that fit our dog Archie perfectly. I love incorporating our dogs!

The next year we had some Frozen lovers on our hands so you know we had to be the Frozen Crew.
We lived in Minnesota at the time which was very fitting to be FROZEN haha, so I was very excited about being in a very warm and cozy Olaf costume. One of the things I like to do if possible is create some of the costumes with a DIY. I found some random things around the house like a hat and shirt to create our dog Archie’s costume as Kristoff. Anytime I can get a costume for the girls that will double as something they can have to play with later on is a bonus too.

The next year we knew we wanted to do GREASE. It’s a classic and we love the music from the movie.
The girls loved being the Pink Ladies. I loved their little outfits so much. Being Danny and Sandy worked out well because we went out with some friends and it doubled as a great couple’s costumes for the night. So with that, if you know you also have a couple of costumes to do that year it helps to choose a costume that can be versatile. It’s always great when you can get multiple uses out of your costumes! The skirts were DIY by my mom and we pieced together the rest of the costumes. My husband has most of Danny’s costume in his closet which was nice! I think GREASE is always a great one and the costumes are very easy to find in-store or on Amazon which makes it very convenient.

Last year we knew we wanted to show our love for our home by doing the Wizard of OZ.
I love this one because you can do it with a small or large group due to how many characters there are in the movie! We chose who our favorites were and had a blast putting the costumes together. The girl’s costumes were dresses they could use to dress up after which again I always love if the costumes can be reused time and time again.
