Chic Avenue Boutique is a sister-owned and operated online boutique based in the Twin Cities, MN. We grew up loving shopping with our mom and supporting local businesses. We also have always been entrepreneurs. Not joking, we used to sell those handmade beaded alligators at the local library craft sales (#90skids). In July of 2015, we FINALLY took the leap of faith and brought this dream to life to create a light-hearted, genuine online boutique shopping experience. And so, Chic Avenue Boutique was born. When you shop with us, we want it to feel like you’re shopping with your gal pals (even if from hundreds of miles away).
Our mission at Chic Avenue Boutique is to provide women with C.H.I.C. styles for every day. For us, staying chic isn’t only about being stylish, but also creating happiness, inspiring confidence (C.H.I.C).

Who is someone who inspires you? My parents – both for different reasons. Dad is a great example of how to maintain humility and kindness while being successful in business and my mom is a genuinely kind person who could brighten anyone’s day.

Krista Vanderveren
Krista Vanderveren lives in Apple Valley, MN with her husband, Brad, and 3 children, Nick (7), Kylie & Kali (4). While always passionate about boutiques and fashion, her formal training is in education. She completed her undergraduate education at UW-River Falls and University of Minnesota and also has her Master’s Degree in Education from the College of St. Scholastica. Prior to working full-time for Chic Avenue Boutique she taught elementary level in various south metro schools.
An organized teacher at heart, Krista keeps the Chic Avenue Boutique ship running smoothly making sure orders are packed and shipped quickly, digging into the analytics and lots of behind-the-scenes work every day.
Jillian is the younger sister and lives in Minneapolis, MN with her husband, John and hound dog mix, Mitch. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a minor in Health Education from the University of MN-Duluth and a Masters of Business Administration in Marketing from the College of St. Scholastica. The boutique was actually launched while she was finishing her MBA back in 2015. Prior to working for Chic Avenue Boutique, she worked in sales and marketing for various CPG companies with a focus on retail.
The “ideas person”, Jillian is always brainstorming new ways for the boutique to grow and adapt. She thrives working with customers (extrovert through and through). She also does most of the branding/marketing work to keep everything looking sharp!
